Happy 2020, Christmas Fanatics! Though we may be past the Christmas season and at the start of a New Year - a Leap Year, at that - we are as determined to keep the holiday spirit alive and well the entire time! As such, perhaps it's a blessing in disguise this episode was delayed a week because really, what better way is there to kick off a New Year than with a Christmas classic? This week, Thom, Julia, and Anthony discuss the 1946 film, It's a Wonderful Life! Once again, Anthony finds himself on the opposite side of the fence as Julia and Thom regarding the quality of this movie, Julia finds she may have more in common with him than she does Thom when it comes to deciding whether or not this is a Christmas film. The hosts also discuss how their holiday seasons went and resolutions for the show as it barrels toward its third year amongst many other things! So settle back with your favorite holiday-flavored drink from Starbucks before they go away again for the next eight months and enjoy!

Merry Christmas Eve Eve, everyone! Or, if you're from Newfoundland, Happy Tibb's Eve, B'y! Or, if you'd prefer, Happy Festivus! Get ready to air your grievances with Anthony after this episode if you're a fan of the 1954 classic, White Christmas, because the show's resident Scrooge (though, as implied in this episode, he's more like Bob Cratchit lately!) is pitted against Thom and Julia this time around in a debate over the musical's merits and status as a Christmas film! Also discussed this episode, Anthony's trip to see the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree and Bronx Zoo Holiday lights, Ellie's shopping excursion with Thom to find gifts for Christine, and Julia's theory as to why Christmas snuck up so fast this year, amongst many other things. This is one fun, festive episode you want to be sure not to miss! So snuggle up under a blanket beside the Christmas tree with your favorite holiday drink, and enjoy! And from all of us here at Tis the Podcast to all of you, have a very Merry Christmas!

This week, the elves tackle the beloved, 1988 Christmas comedy film, Scrooged! Does Anthony love this movie as much as Thom and Julia though, or does he need his own ghostly visitors to put a little love in his heart after this episode? Also discussed this episode: Star Wars and Baby Yoda, FX's A Christmas Carol, the awesome Christmas cards the hosts have received from listeners of the show, and - amongst many other things - the excitement that everyone is feeling about the fact that Christmas is just over a week away! Happy December, Christmas fanatics! We hope you all had an excellent Thanksgiving! This week, the hosts cover Disney's elf-centric animated holiday special, Prep and Landing, and its follow-up, Prep and Landing: Naughty vs. Nice. Where Julia, Thom, and Anthony fall on these specials comes down to their own personal Santa and elf sensibilities, in addition to what they feel about technology infiltrating the magic of the north pole; a good place to start if you want to guess what the elves may think of these specials would be to go all the way back and listen to our Arthur Christmas episode. And speaking of Arthur Christmas, the hosts touch briefly on something they forgot to discuss during their episode on Noelle last week - how Disney's newest holiday film is basically Elf meets Arthur Christmas. Also discussed this episode: Julia's trip to San Francisco, Frozen 2/Disney +, our new Tis the Podcast jackets, a few Christmas commercials, and where you could hear more of your beloved hosts outside of our show and our Patreon feed! This is one fun episode you want to be sure not to miss! Enjoy!

This week, Julia, Thom, and Anthony cover the brand new, Disney + original movie, Noelle. After spending a few minutes gushing over Disney's new streaming service, the elves are joined by singer/songwriter Reyha Stevens, who has two of her original holiday songs featured in the film! After a lively, informative, 18 minute conversation with her (00:05:00 - 00:23:00), the hosts dive in to a fun, boisterous, conversation about Anna Kendrick's and Bill Hader's new female-empowered, holiday classic. There's a lot of disagreement here, but will the the elves land close to one another when it comes time to ranking the film? Also discussed this week is how to make the actual holiday season extra special, especially when we all do our best to keep the spirit alive all year long. This is one lively, enjoyable episode you want to be sure not to miss!

This week, Julia, Thom, and Anthony cover the 1951 holiday film, Scrooge - arguably the most iconic and beloved adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol to date! But do all three of the elves feel the love for Alastair Sim's version of Scrooge, and are they all moved by his trip through the past, present, and future, or will they need a scare of their own from three ghostly visitors this upcoming Christmas Eve to set them straight? Settle back with your favorite holiday drink in front of your Christmas tree to find out!

This week, the elves cover a beloved Christmas special that, criminally, hasn't been aired in many years on television - 1987's A Garfield Christmas. Our three hosts have a blast talking about the famous lasagna-loving cat, his goofy dog brother, and their dorky owner, but can this special hold a candle to the likes of the Grinch and Charlie Brown? Also in this episode: Anthony gives an update not only on last week's Halloween costume search, the but also the Starbucks employee he believes has been flirting with him; Thom briefly discusses his new job; and the elves discuss the latest Batman casting news and FX's upcoming A Christmas Carol miniseries. In addition, in response to listener Gary Blauman's question about which elf the listeners most relate to, Anthony, Julia, and Thom share the amazing Harry Potter, Sorting Hat inspired poem written by listener Disco54. This is one episode, overflowing with Christmas cheer, that you definitely do not want to miss!
